This night with @themacallan_malaysia , I was privileged to learn about the rich history and relentless pursuit behind the brand.
The new range of The Macallan Double Cask’s narrative was simply captivating. The idea and journey of bringing both the American and European sherry seasoned oak casks together, creating the perfectly balanced single malt is just beyond imagination. You may ask, why the two oaks? It’s to deliver the delicate vanilla flavour from the American oak, and the unique and subtle spice from European oak.
Such honor, to be one of the first to experience this very Single Malt whisky, which I must say it’s rather distinctive. The taste is warm, rich and spicy.
Between the 15 Years Old and 18 Years Old, I love the latter, neat for me please :)
